Alan Howarth will present his latest findings on the healing qualities of music from 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday, September 17, at the Auditorium of the Pasadena Central Library (please do not park in the library lot). The Los Angeles-based film composer and creator of the RA Natural Frequency Music® system will demonstrate his work together with Christine M. Grimm, a Santa Barbara sound therapist. Her “Sound Trek” feature on Alan Howarth and sound healing is available in the September issue of Vision Magazine (www.VisionMagazine.com, page 26).
This presentation on RA Natural Frequency Music® includes findings of scientific research conducted by Alan Howarth with Wes Bateman (who developed RA mathematics after studying the Great Pyramid of Giza). Instead of just hearing it with the ears, RA Music can be felt throughout the entire body. Although Western music has been played in a standard tuning of A=440 since 1925, Alan Howarth and Wes Bateman have proved that the frequency of nature is centered on A=424 cycles per second. They also developed a patented process to convert any recording of standard music into RA tunings. The lecture will include a demonstration comparing music in both tunings. In conclusion, Christine M. Grimm will lead the group in a toning circle using the RA tuning.
From film scores to special effects, Alan Howarth’s electronic imagination as a composer and sound designer has contributed to the soundtracks of major genre films. He collaborated with John Carpenter on almost all of the music for the director’s films, beginning with ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. In addition to providing sound design and effects for films such as the first six STAR TREK movies, THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, and THE LITTLE MERMAID, Alan Howarth’s passion for sound extends to its healing properties. PARADISE WITHIN is his most recent CD based on RA Music.
There is no charge for this event, which is open to anyone who is interested in music, sound, and healing. See www.TuneYourVoice.com and www.RAmusic.com for additional information.
