Tammy, from what I understand about the Solfeggio frequencies is their origins date back to ancient times when they were sung in the Gregorian chants during religious ceremonies in churches of that time. But mysteriously, around 1050 AD, they mysteriously disappeared, presumably lost forever.
These chants contained special tones or frequencies which, when sung in harmony, and in Latin, were believed to impart tremendous spiritual blessings during religious masses. Apparently, the combination of these sacred tones and the Latin intonation, had the power to penetrate deep into the recesses of the subconscious mind and promote great healing and transformation.
I read somewhere that they were doing research with 528 hz and repairing broken DNA using that frequency. 528 hz can be recorded and stored in Water, which our bodies are made up of, from 55% to 78% water depending on body size.
I believe the healing results people have testified to has to do with Positive Manifestation and using these frequencies. Same as Dr. Emoto Masaru's - Messages in Water, experiments - positive and negative manifestation.
These tones do affect our minds and bodies...some tones make you want to move...others, fall asleep...Our bodies synchronize with the music and naturally vibrate using these frequencies. Our minds project positive and negative energy...we transmit and receive like antennas.
The Ancient Egyptians, Mayas, Aztecs and Incas tuned their chambers to these natural tones...it's Ancient/Future technology at our finger tips, ears, hearts and minds.
Though you cannot believe everything that you read or read on line, this research/development is an amazing breakthrough in Science, we can manipulate our reality with thoughts and sounds.
Hope this helps.
After studying more about Solfeggio Frequencies & RA Music, there is a difference and I can only say that I have experienced altered states with both tuning systems. I am hoping that maybe Alan can shed some light on this topic.
FYI, I prefer -62.5 cents - RA Music if I had to make a choice between the 2.
